The Vedic Choreography Cube Tool (VCCT) is a choreographic methodology developed by Alessandro Carboni following his research in India with the project From Quad to Zero, exploring the intersection between Indian mathematics and choreographic composition.
The method translates the body’s joints into eight color-coded points—head (white), shoulder (yellow), elbow (orange), wrist (red), sacrum (violet), hip (brown), knee (green), and feet (blue)—to construct an imaginary cube. Each vertex of the cube represents a possible connection between body parts, generating infinite spatial and movement combinations.
Through this geometric and perceptual system, VCCT reconfigures how the body learns and performs movement, introducing new logics of coordination and rhythm. The cube becomes both a score and a tool for improvisation, expanding the performer’s awareness of structure, space, and transformation. The methodology has been applied in performances, workshops, and choreographic laboratories internationally.
