OOFFOURO
Project | Alessandro Carboni and Danilo Casti
Production | L’officina dell’ouroboros 2000-2009
OOFFOURO was an interdisciplinary duo founded by Alessandro Carboni and Danilo Casti in Sardinia in the early 2000s, active until 2009. Emerging from the experimental performance scene between Cagliari, London, and Eastern Europe, the duo explored the intersection of movement, sound, mathematics, and technology through performance, installation, and live media. Their practice revolved around the Trilite System, a methodological framework treating the creative process as an autonomous, self-generating organism—constantly collapsing and reforming through cycles of instability, reflection, and renewal. OOFF.OURO investigated how numbers, algorithms, and real-time improvisation could structure new performative grammars. Through their hybrid aesthetic—part machine, part body—the duo sought to redefine choreography as a system of relations, where process and transformation became the true core of the work.
