Northwest is a series of black-and-white drawings created with graphite, oil pastel, marker, collage, solvent printing, and eraser on paper. Each work unfolds as a layered landscape where gestural marks turn into lines, stains, and fragments that evoke trees, horizons, and shifting terrains. These images oscillate between inner visions and imagined sceneries: bucolic views, abstract horizons, and surreal presences reminiscent of a medieval bestiary. Figures, creatures, and landscapes intertwine, blurring the boundary between what is seen and what is imagined. Northwest becomes a cartography of perception, where memory, invention, and gesture coexist in a fluid visual space.
