LaDU - Multidisciplinary Urban Density Laboratory

Project and research | Alessandro Carboni
With the support | Department of Architecture, University of Cagliari (2009-1011).

LaDU is a multidisciplinary research project conceived by Alessandro Carboni at the Department of Architecture, University of Cagliari. The laboratory explored the relationship between body, space, and landscape transformation through a dialogue between art, science, and new technologies.
LaDU brought together artists, architects, urban planners, and researchers within a transdisciplinary platform that generated creative residencies, performances, workshops, publications, festival and conferences across Europe and Asia. Among the projects developed: What Burns Never Returns, Overlapping Discrete Boundaries, Complex Body Networks, and Human Landscape.
Through embodied practices and digital tools, LaDU investigated the urban landscape as a dynamic and complex system, proposing a sensitive and critical reading of contemporary transformations that connect body, architecture, and territory.
