Inverse Power of Wavelengths is a performative research that investigates the dynamic relationship between the city and the body, exploring how the latter is able to shape urban space while simultaneously being transformed in relation to its changes. The work stems from the desire to rethink the city not as an immutable, given reality, but as a site of living experience and continuous process, where the body becomes both a tool of interpretation and intervention, an agent of transformation and the fulcrum of discourse. The performance unfolds as a hybrid, interdisciplinary territory, suspended between choreography, visual exploration, and spatial inquiry. Here, the observation and documentation of urban contexts are transformed into living material, generating gestures and signs that reflect the complexity of places and the social and spatial phenomena that traverse them. The stage becomes the map, and the body a sensor capable of recording and transmitting what happens in urban space, acting as the medium of a visual and performative narrative. Inverse Power of Wavelengths is thus a reflection on the transformative power of movement and the capacity of gesture to intervene in the surrounding reality, revealing fractures, tensions, and invisibilities. A practice that opens new perspectives on how to inhabit and think the city, transforming it into a place of encounter and shared exploration.
